What kind of cost reductions can we expect?+
Typical results are up to 80% within the first 3-6 months, through right-sizing, reserved capacity, and architectural changes that remove waste. My best documented case cut a bill by over 90% — but I'd rather promise less and deliver more.
We run everything on a few VPS and already spend very little. What can you offer us?+
A small bill often hides its real cost: single points of failure, untested backups, manual deployments, no recovery plan. If there are no meaningful savings to find, the work focuses on the other well-architected pillars — reliability, security, performance and operational excellence — so an outage doesn't cost you more than years of hosting. And if there's genuinely nothing worth improving, I'll tell you that too.
Why not hire a full-time cloud architect instead?+
A good full-time cloud architect is a six-figure yearly commitment, takes months to hire, and rarely has enough work to fill a full-time role outside a large team. Here you get the same seniority on demand, with no hiring process and no equity — and everything is documented so the knowledge stays with your team.
Do you work with early-stage startups or only scale-ups?+
Both. Early-stage teams usually need architecture foundations and delivery speed, while scale-ups focus on cloud cost optimization, reliability, and team enablement.
Which cloud platforms and stacks do you cover?+
AWS, Azure, Cloudflare, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), with pragmatic multi-cloud decisions based on cost, reliability, and delivery velocity. On-premise and VPS setups are covered too, usually as the starting point of a migration.
What access do you need to our infrastructure?+
As little as possible. A Cloud Cost Scan only requires read-only billing access. Audits and migrations need scoped read access to infrastructure and IaC repositories. Everything is least-privilege, revocable at any time, and covered by an NDA on request.
What guarantees do you offer?+
Every engagement carries its own: the Cloud Cost Scan is fully refunded if I can't find savings worth at least its price; with Managed FinOps, if your bill drifts above baseline and I haven't flagged it first, that month is free; and most clients recover the Cloud Audit cost within the first month of implementing its recommendations.
Do you provide hands-on implementation?+
Yes. Depending on the engagement, I provide strategic leadership, architecture governance, and hands-on work on IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud migrations. I'm not a slide-deck consultant: recommendations come with the option to implement them.
How do you handle cloud migrations? Will we face downtime?+
I start with an assessment mapping risks, costs, dependencies and success criteria, then design the target architecture, roll out in phases with IaC and CI/CD, and execute the cutover with rollback safeguards. Migrations are planned for zero downtime — my last two were completed without a minute of service interruption.
How quickly can an engagement start?+
Most engagements can start immediately. We begin with a short discovery call, align on priorities, and define a practical execution plan.
What happens after the initial engagement?+
Most clients continue with Managed FinOps: a monthly review that keeps costs from drifting back up, checks new services before they get expensive, and manages reserved capacity and credits. Every Audit includes the first month, and every Migration includes 1 month of post-migration support, extendable. Either way, everything I build is documented and handed over to your team — no lock-in, ever.
Can you help us apply for cloud credits?+
Yes. I have experience helping startups apply for AWS Activate, Azure for Startups, and Google for Startups programs, which can provide up to $100K in free cloud resources. I can guide you through the application process and help maximize your chances of approval.
